1/06/09 - 5 miles

I enjoyed a good recovery run tonight on a treadmill at the gym. I was reading some information lately about training for long distance runs using heartrate monitoring. I was intrigued by the success some have had utilizing this methodolgy so I thought I would try and pay more attention to my heartrate and less on my times to complete a run. So my run tonight was at a slower pace than I would normally have run but I was able to keep my heartrate lower and I felt great. I ran the 5 miles in 44:-something (I neglected to look at the treadmill when I finished so I don't have the exact time).
