1/30/09 - 7 miles

I enjoyed running these miles outside along the canal banks in east Mesa. However, it got dark about halfway through my run which made it difficult to see rocks or other obstacles in the path. Fortunately, I had no mishaps along the way but I think I will bring along my headlamp for future runs. I ran the 7 miles at a very easy and comfortable pace finishing in 1:01:17 which is an 8:45 pace and my average heartrate was 147 bpm. I was especially excited to see my average heartrate staying down. I have high hopes for my finishing time at this marathon so I hope my training continues to show good results.
